Assoc. AIA, Project Designer
atyler@highplainsarchitects.com

Alex is a multifaceted and dedicated project designer, having worked on award-winning high-performance buildings like the LEED Platinum SxS Building in Bozeman and as a project manager for national and regional clients including Wells Fargo and Montana Rail Link, providing a consistent point of contact for unique and often unconventional projects.

Drawn to High Plains Architect’s commitment to innovation and environmental sustainability, Alex joined our team in 2015. In addition to his design and project management contributions, he has been a key asset for growing the firm through marketing strategy, including helping with many successful project proposals and our public presence.

Combined with his experience and passion for graphic design and educating, Alex has found an excellent fit at High Plains; his affable personality and ability to facilitate meaningful communication is an asset that adds great value to an office that brings people together in pursuit of a healthier world.

Alex earned a Master of Architecture degree from Montana State University and has completed his Architectural Experience Program (AXP) with NCARB and is currently studying for his last two Architectural Registration Exams. His interests since university up to the present day are centered on sustainability, building detailing, and urban agriculture.

Outside of the office, Alex is a committed bike commuter, a founding member of the Partner Acrobatics community in Billings, and an aerial performer with Billings Alternacirque. An avid outdoorsman, he can be found trail running through our beautiful landscape on the weekends. He is also busy updating his 110+-year-old home and keeping several precocious chickens.
